Acting Classes for Lancaster Students

Students from Lancaster train in the Meisner technique at Playhouse West Dallas, located about 13.6 miles north of town in Dallas. Lancaster does not have its own studio — all classes are held at the Dallas location.

Lancaster sits in Dallas County near Dallas itself, DeSoto, Cedar Hill and Waxahachie. Its relative closeness to Dallas makes the commute to our studio shorter than for some surrounding towns, which is helpful for students attending multiple classes a week.

Our program centers on the Meisner technique, an approach built on repetition exercises and genuine reaction rather than pre-planned line readings. Students train at beginning, intermediate or advanced levels depending on their prior experience.

Even with the relatively short distance from Lancaster, students should still plan around Dallas traffic patterns, especially during evening commute hours when many classes are likely to take place.
